1. Who we are
sezzar.com is operated by Shaun Henry trading as Sezzar, Meridian Court, London, SE6 1LB. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, email info@sezzar.com.
2. What information we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you give one) and what you ordered.
- Personalisation: text, names, numbers and images you upload or enter so we can make your item.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, contact form or live chat.
- Payment: payments are handled by our payment provider (WooPayments, powered by Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
- Website use: information collected by cookies and similar technology, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site (see section 7).
3. How we use your information and our lawful basis
- To make and deliver your order, and to contact you about it: necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To answer questions and handle returns or complaints: contract and our legitimate interests in providing good customer service.
- To keep records for tax and accounting: legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep our website secure: legitimate interests.
- To send marketing emails: only with your consent (or, if you are an existing customer, where you did not opt out). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: only with your consent, given through our cookie banner.
4. Who we share your information with
We only share what is needed with service providers who help us run the shop, including:
- our payment provider (WooPayments / Stripe);
- delivery companies such as Royal Mail and Evri, to deliver your order;
- our website host and the software we use to run the shop (WordPress and WooCommerce);
- email and marketing services (Mailchimp), if you have signed up;
- analytics and advertising services (Google and Meta), only if you accept those cookies;
- live chat software, if you use our chat.
We may also share information where required by law. We never sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers store data outside the UK, for example in the USA. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your information
- Order and accounting records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
- Uploaded personalisation images: deleted within 90 days of your order being completed, unless needed to deal with a problem with that order.
- Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe.
- Messages and enquiries: up to 2 years.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the shop work (for example, your basket and checkout). With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (such as Google Ads and Meta) to understand how our site is used and to show relevant adverts. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies using our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time.
8. Keeping your information secure
We use secure (SSL) connections, keep our website software up to date, use security and malware scanning, and limit who can access your information. No website can be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information (unless we must keep it, for example for tax records);
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it;
- withdraw consent at any time (for example, to marketing emails or cookies);
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation.

10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
